Writer’s Almanac

Got word this morning that Garrison Keillor will be using a poem of mine, “Last Night I Was a Child Again in Raleigh,” on his nationally syndicated radio show, Writer’s Almanac, on September 12th. The poem is from my new collection, Among the Mensans.

My new poetry collection

My new poetry collection can now be ordered, (or picked up at the store, starting Tuesday.) It’s entitled Among the Mensans (Iris Press, $16) and the eye-catching cover art was done by my talented daughter, Chloe.
Here is a link to order online, signed or inscribed:
The first out of town order I get I’ll throw in a copy of Sgt. Pepper’s on CD. Seriously.
And I will be signing it and reading from it the last Thursday of September at….wait for it….Burke’s Book Store.

“Direct, clipped, with never a syllable wasted, Corey Mesler’s poems in Among the Mensans reflect on expansive obsessions: love, loss, and the body’s perfect imperfections. This is a wonderfully large-hearted, bracing, candid, and ambitious collection by a writer whose searching intelligence lights every line.”
